The Beat from Troy Music Hall #34, Celebrate Everything That Is Fall!

“As long as autumn lasts, I shall not have hands, canvas and colors enough to paint thebeautiful things I see.” ― Vincent Van Gogh

The best upstate New York season is here! We love fall. Go apple picking, take a hike in the cool, comfortable, crisp fall air, or gather outside at a socially distanced backyard bonfire. The only bad thing about fall is that it doesn’t last long enough.

Apple Picking – Cosplay Outdoorsiness With Us!

SNL’s take on apple picking in upstate New York! Some of it they get really right like “Pay $45 for $10 worth of apples” and Woody Harrelson saying “Our haunted hayride is staffed entirely by local teen boys who take things way too far.” The rest we’ll accept because we understand it’s a parody, but us upstaters know that apple picking is an almost perfect fall activity.

Roll With It Baby

If you understand “All Skate, Couples, Trios” then you’ve been rolling skating at Guptill’s Arena in Latham, NY. This 70 year old skating mecca was recently featured on CBS Sunday Morning. We are now looking forward to skating soon!

Remember The First Time You Heard The Who’s “Baba O’Reily”?

We’ve all had this feeling! The minute you hear a song and it instantly becomes a part of your life. Watch comedian Joe Pera perfectly capture that moment as he discovers The Who.

Who Has The Best Apple Pie Recipe?

Tasty tested recipes from Martha Stewart, Gordon Ramsey, Michelle Obama, and Michael Symon. We think the winning recipe looks delicious! If you try any of these please write to us and let us know how they turned out.

Also, try making this southern recipe for Fried Apples. It looks so delicious and easy we had to include it.

Don’t Worry About A Thing

Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds” has the optimistic lyrics we all need right now, “Don’t worry about a thing, every little thing is gonna be alright.” This version, as interpreted by Toots and the Maytals, features Bob’s son, Ziggy Marley. In this animated video, the band members become super heroes who take this message of peace and spread it all over the globe. Peace!
