Albany BID seeks artists for public project

Downtown Albany Business Improvement District seeks artists to participate in its upcoming “Winter Wonderland” public art project.

As a way to support both local art and small business communities, Albany BID wants artists and designers to collaborate with downtown businesses to develop creative seasonal, “Winter Wonderland”-themed storefront displays.

Displays can include, but are not limited to, window painting, lighting installations, three-dimensional storefront displays, or temporary murals. The artwork is to be completed and installed by Saturday, Nov. 28, and will be on display until Monday, Feb. 1, 2021. Additional information can be found at www.downtownalbany.org/artistapplication

Applications are due by Monday, Nov. 2, at 5 p.m. An artist application for the Winter Wonderland public art project can be completed online at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CC6FYC3

This is a juried exhibition and not all applicants will be chosen. Selected artists will be compensated for their time and supplies. Please contact Jason Bonafide, Downtown Albany Business Improvement District Special Events Manager, with any questions at [email protected] or 518-465-2143 x 111.
