Round 2 of March Music Madness Begins
The first round of Nippertown’s “March Music Madness” witnessed more than 1,000 voters chiming in and reducing the initial field of 64 local bands and musicians by half.
There were no runaway contests as voters selected their favorite bands last week. In fact, one contest was separated by a single vote. The field was announced last Wednesday just as the polls were opened, and voting closed Saturday evening to reveal who advances to Round 2.
Round 2 voting starts at 10 a.m. (today) Wednesday, March 3, and polls close at midnight on Saturday, March 6. Bands who advance will be announced on Wednesdays in The Spot 518, as well as, on Nippertown.com. Michael Hallisey (The Spot 518) and Jim Gilbert (Nippertown) will also discuss results live on their Facebook Live program that airs every Wednesday night at 8 pm on Nippertown’s FB page.
