The Attic Classic: It’s 1996. Four guys from high school in Kinderhook decided to start a rock band, got into the Albany punk scene playing shows. Following line-up changes and a renewed desire to prove to themselves, F*Timmi was reborn. Calling Albany home, major record label interest in the band was coming from all over the industry. However, the horrible events of September 11, 2001 put any talks of a contract off to the side.

From that side-lined brush with something big, the band decided to step back from touring, and focus on recording what became ‘The Shocker‘ EP, released in the summer of 2002. That got them some commercial radio exposure. But still not signed to a major label, they doubled-down and wrote and recorded the best songs they could, releasing the full length album ‘The Middle Class‘ in 2003. “First In, Last Out” from that album is the Attic Classic.
Tune in WEXT Radio at 97.7 and 106.1 FM, at 89.1’s HD2 station, via online website stream at, or by using the free app for iOS and Android devices.

Here’s a clip of F*Timmi performing the Attic Classic at Valentine’s Music Hall (RIP) in Albany for the Christmas Scene Reunion Benefit Show on Dec. 8 2009. Other bands scheduled to reunite to perform were Third to None, 3 Point Turn, Importante, The Pushcart War, and Method of Groove & Plan 10 (acoustic performances). Anyone at that show?
