One of my first concerts that I know the date of was June 28 1976 Olivia Newton John and Jerry Reed at the Saratoga Fair. Back when they had the fair at the harness track.
Idina Menzel from Glee opened for Francis Dunnery at Valentine’s.
Always a good date for concerts: I’ve been to four on this list, including Roger Waters (and, immediately preceding it at Alive at 5, the final, so far, Dickey Betts performance in this area) and the final Grateful Dead (with Jerry) at SPAC concert. The Eric Burdon show at JB’s Theatre was memorable because there couldn’t have been more than a dozen people in the audience that night and we were all up against the stage. This intimate atmosphere didn’t seem to dampen the enthusiasm of the band nor the audience and it became a private party.
