Lark Hall announces “Dancing with The Dead” featuring The Wheel, others

ALBANY — Lark Hall announced a new series, “Dancing with The Dead”, which will feature the best Grateful Dead and related acts from the Northeast and beyond on an ongoing basis.

The shows will initially take place bi-weekly on Thursday nights, beginning with a four-show residency by The Wheel on July 8, July 22, Aug. 5 and Aug. 19.

“The very first time I met Jennifer and Justin at one of our gigs and learned about their vision for Lark Hall, I got goosebumps and suggested “Dancing with The Dead” evenings on a regular basis as there is a vibrant community of fans in the region who love to do just that – dance to the Dead,” The Wheel founder and guitarist Andy Morse said. “Now that their vision has become a reality, we couldn’t be happier to bring the music of the Dead to life in the beautiful looking and sounding room they have created.”

The venue indicated more show announcements will be made soon and, in the true Grateful Dead spirit of “anything can happen”, unique collaborations are being planned for genuine, in-the-moment musical experiences.

“We are excited to bring this concert series to fans along with our friends and favorite local band, The Wheel,” Lark Hall owners Jennifer and Justin Miller said. “The music of the Grateful Dead has always been a part of our lives together. With the help of Andy Morse, we are looking to create and evolve a series like no other.”
