The Attic Classic: Hailing from Schenectady, VISITOR’s self-titled debut came out in 1980, straddling the divide of hard rock and heavy metal by combining organ-fueled hard blues rock with heavy guitar riffs and sizzling leads. It would have been difficult to go to any rock club in the area without having seen them at least once. Or, going to see a favorite major touring band and having them as one of the opening acts.

The band’s follow-up LP titled ‘Take It’ landed in record store bins in 1983. It marked major line-up changes with a new lead singer, guitar and keyboard players, and drummer. Still, their brand of hook-filled melodic rock and an energetic stage show kept them in the top echelon of great bands in a competitive scene. The Attic Classic is the title track to that second LP, “Take It.”
