Stories From a Bar #45, Bert & Christian Weber of Common Roots Brewing

GLENS FALLS — For Episode 45 of Stories From A Bar Chris travels north to South Glens Falls where he had the pleasure of getting to sit down, drink, and chat with Bert and Christian Weber the owners and founders of Common Roots Brewing Company. Hanging out in one of the conference rooms the Weber’s share their amazing story as well as talking about their new and beautifully rustic looking facility which opened last year.

When it comes to their business, to say the Weber’s have been through a lot the last couple years may be an understatement. While every business was dealing with trying to stay afloat during Covid, Common Roots Brewing also had the added challenge of trying to rebuild after a devastating fire. Bert and Christian go on to talk about getting into craft beer, the early days of the brewery, the beers, seeing it all burn, and rising again. The Weber’s also focus on a strong sense of community, what that means to them, and perseverance. As well as their not-for-profit foundation which they were particularly motivated to get off the ground after the fire.
