Troy Music Hall Announces Paula Poundstone on February 3
The Troy Savings Bank Music Hall announced a number of new shows scheduled for 2022, including Paula Poundstone to perform on Thursday, February 3rd, at 7:30 pm. The comedian, perhaps best known for her ongoing panelist role on NPR’s Wait Wait …Don’t Tell Me! will perform her comedy act in the intimate setting of the hall.
Poundstone is recognized in innumerable lists, documentaries, and literary compendiums noting influential stand up comedians of our time. In 2010, she was one of a select group voted into the Comedy Hall of Fame.

Appearing on a stage with a stool, microphone, and a can of Diet Pepsi, Poundstone has one of comedy’s most nimble and disarming comic imaginations you can hear. In a review of Poundstone’s show for the Glove, Nick Zaino III wrote, “Her talent for creating humor on the spot has become the stuff of legend. She improvises with the crowd like a jazz musician, swinging in unexpected directions without a plan, without a net. You know that she is a great comic the way you know any fine performer when you see one — there’s a disarming sense that she’s so quick on her feet you need never worry about the possibility of something going wrong.”
Tickets are $44.50/$36.50, and can be purchased by phone at 518-273-0038, in person, or online at www.troymusichall.org.
