Bad Mothers Signs with Shooter Jennings’ BCR Label, First Single “Everything is Alright” Released
Since Albany’s alternative rock outfit Bad Mothers announced their signing with Shooter Jennings’ Black Country Rock label back in May we have anticipated the release of their first record with the label. That said the single, “Everything is Alright,” is now available on all streaming services and platforms.

The album, self-titled Bad Mothers, is the first full-length for the band and is set to release on December 10, 2021. The band has spent the year tidying up the album, recording and gathering content for the release, and playing shows in Albany, including a recent stint with Quicksand. The album can be pre-ordered or pre-saved here.
The lead single, and first track on the album is a heavy, riff-driven piece lead by vocalist Matthew Dalton singing, “It’s today, there’s no tomorrow, money cannot buy new life” which the singer explains, “The entire song is a pretty sarcastic and cynical outlook on what we value today and what people believe in today. That line, in particular, is saying that people are prioritizing money and capitalism to an extent where we’re putting all these different types of life at risk. Wildlife, the life of the earth itself, lives of the citizens on earth. We know we’re doing it and the only reason we’re doing it is the pursuit of money. But at the end of the day, if we kill all of this off, money won’t be able to replace it.”
Accompanying the lead single is a video for “Everything is Alright,” which is now available. The video sees bandmates Matt Dalton, Brian Chiapinelli, Patrick Flores, and Kevin Bohen in masks in which Flores picked out and built, via 3D mask manufacturer Wintercroft and the video’s mysterious concept was created.
