Robyn Hitchcock played The Egg in Albany Sunday night. Hitchcock is one of England’s most enduring contemporary singer/songwriters, is a surrealist poet and talented guitarist – a musician’s musician blending folk and psychedelia. Since founding the art-rock band The Soft Boys in 1976, Robyn has recorded more than 20 albums, with songs described as “paintings you can listen to.”
