Two Buttons Deep to Air the First-Ever Golden Button Awards on Facebook Live
ALBANY – Two Buttons Deep (“2BD”) is set to air the first-ever Golden Button Awards today, January 27th at 8 p.m. on Facebook Live. The award show will be hosted virtually and will celebrate and honor the local media personalities and producers part of one of the fastest-growing entertainment outlets in Upstate New York by handing out a series of awards and highlighting the top-performing content, as voted upon by the followers of the Two Buttons Deep brand.
In 2021, Two Buttons Deep posted hundreds of original photos and videos, recorded 75 podcasts, and raised nearly $30,000 for local restaurants, teachers, and charities. 2BD continues to expand its social following by creating Upstate-focused content for the 25-34 age demographic primarily living in the Capital Region and bringing on local talent to join the team. Last fall, 2BD co-founders Jack Carpenter and Taylor Rao left their full-time, corporate jobs to solely focus on the growth of the company and now employ five individuals part-time for on-camera and production work.
“We have dreamed of being able to host an event of this caliber and scale since we started our brand,” said Carpenter. “We feel like we are in the right place at the right time to entertain the Capital Region by creating unique, innovative content meant to be consumed and shared right on social media.”
