UPH Welcomes The Seven Wonders and Ladysmith Black Mambazo in March
SARATOGA SPRINGS – Universal Preservation Hall is excited to welcome both The Seven Wonders – Fleetwood Mac Tribute and Ladysmith Black Mambazo to Saratoga Springs in March.
The Seven Wonders – Fleetwood Mac Tribute are seven premier musicians from Western New York’s vibrant entertainment scene paying homage to the music of Fleetwood Mac. The band’s collective performance experience is apparent from all aspects when they take to the stage together– bringing the crowd powerful renditions of these timeless tunes, packed full of high energy. Since its inception in 2017, The Seven Wonders – Fleetwood Mac Tribute have sold out multiple shows and packed venues drawing fans from all over the region. The Seven Wonders – Fleetwood Mac Tribute will be at UPH at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4th.

Assembled in the early 1960s in South Africa by Joseph, then a young farm boy turned factory worker, the group took the name Ladysmith Black Mambazo: Ladysmith, the name of Joseph’s hometown; Black is a reference to the oxen, the strongest of all farm animals; and Mambazo is the Zulu word for chopping ax, a symbol of the group’s ability to “chop down” any singing rival who might challenge them.
Now, 60 years later, Ladysmith Black Mambazo has warmed the hearts of audiences worldwide with uplifting vocal harmonies, signature dance moves, and charming onstage banter. It was Paul Simon’s 1987 Graceland album that introduced Ladysmith Black Mambazo to the world. The late former South African President Nelson Mandela designated the group “South Africa’s cultural ambassadors to the world,” a title the members carry with them with the highest honor. Ladysmith Black Mambazo has performed for millions of people, singing a message of peace, love, and harmony. Ladysmith Black Mambazo will be at UPH at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5th.
