Jim Gaudet and the Railroad Boys to Play the Bulmer Telecommunications Center at HVCC, March 24th

TROY – Hudson Valley Community College has announced the performance of local bluegrass favorites Jim Gaudet and the Railroad Boys, slated to appear at noon on Thursday, March 24th, in the Bulmer Telecommunications Center Auditorium at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy. The hour-long concert, presented by the Cultural Affairs Program, is open to free to all. The program also will be live-streamed at www.hvcc.edu/culture.

Jim Gaudet and the Railroad Boys deliver a blend of bluegrass and rockabilly reminiscent of Hank Williams, Earl Scruggs, and Bill Monroe. Add some storytelling and a dash of down-home humor, and it’s impossible not to have a good time. The band just released a new album, entitled Hillbilly Rock n Roll.

The lineup at HVCC will be Gaudet, guitar and vocals; Bobby Ristau, upright bass and backing vocals; Sten Isachsen, mandolin and backing vocals, with special guests Tucker Callander on fiddle and Richie Pagano on piano.
