LIVE Laughs: Patton Oswalt @ Troy Music Hall, 03/18/2022
Patton Oswalt achieved almost, but not quite stand-up comedy from his perch on all-terrain Knee Scooter (complete with basket and bell) on the Troy Music Hall stage on Friday night. He explained that his broken foot resulted from two things: slipping off a curb and turning 53 years old.

“After 50 if a pinecone falls near you, your entire rib cage explodes!” The comedian/actor/writer joked, “I won’t say that it’s great to be here in Troy, because you know that’s a lie! Oh my God, what is the vibe here? H. P. Lovecraft would run screaming from this town!” Oswalt’s hilarious extended riff on collecting a barn full of clown pubes had to be witnessed in person to be appreciated fully.

The wife and wife team of Eman El-Husseini and Jess Salomon opened, first separately and then together dispensing tales of their cultural differences as a Jewish and Muslim couple trying to decorate their first Christmas tree together and explaining how they were grateful to Saddam Hussein for inadvertently being their matchmaker.
