Shovels & Rope to Perform at The Egg, April 5th

ALBANY – Continuing their American Roots & Branches concert series, The Egg will be hosting a performance of Shovels & Rope on Tuesday, April 5th. Opening for the duo that evening is special guest, singer/songwriter Jeremie Albino. Doors to the event open at 6:30 pm, with a start time of 7:30 pm.

This year marks the tenth since Cary Ann Hearst and Michael Trent – billed as Shovels & Rope – combined threads of traditional folk, country, and rock and released their debut album. That decade included the release of six full length albums, three collaborative covers albums a curated music festival in their hometown of Charleston, SC, a musical film and countless dynamic live performances all over the planet. The songs and stories that make up their new album Manticore are visceral, bold, and at times deeply personal.  Singer/songwriter Jeremie Albino will open the show.
