LIVE: reaLation Video Premiere & Bad Mothers @ GE Theatre at Proctors, 04/02/2022

With movie theatre-style seating and a giant screen (largest in the northeast!) the black box GE Theatre at Proctors was ideal for the premiere of reaLation‘s “Selfish” video on Saturday night.  The self-described “concept-based grunge alternative metal” band debuted the locally produced reel followed by a short but sweet live set anticipating their upcoming EP release “What Lies Beneath”.  Introduced by WEQX‘s Joel Marshall vocalist/guitarist Steve Feliciano, bassist/vocalist Vincent Lane, and drummer Matt Loucks brought good things to light with a selection of powerful original songs, as Lane has said,”pairing the psychological concepts with hook-laden alternative hard rock”.  Check out the video on reLation’s Youtube channel and you will recognize many Albany locations featured in the shoot.

Special guests Bad Mothers, the “dirty-rock” band from Albany who have signed with Shooter Jenning‘s record label Black Country Rock opened with headbangers from their recently released self-titled first full-length album.  Matt Dalton on guitar and vocals, Patrick Flores on guitar, Keith Bohen on bass and vocals, and Brian Chlappinelli on drums kept the pedal to the metal from the start. These gents have some killer videos too!  See “Wasted” where one viewer asks in the comments about Dalton’s impressive vocals, “Did Chris Cornell have a secret son?”.
