moe. to Perform the Opening Day of Albany’s Capital Concert Series, July 6th

ALBANY – On July 6th, moe. is slated to perform in Albany at the Empire State Plaza as part of the City’s Capital Concert Series, kicking off this series’ scheduled events for 2022. Free to those that attend, the event begins at 5:30 pm, ends at 8:30 pm, and is sure to be a great time.

moe. first came together at the University of Buffalo in 1990 as musician friends uniting to play for the sheer fun of it. For over three decades, the band has corralled myriad musical forms on a truly original journey rich with crafty, clever songwriting and astonishing resourcefulness. Fueled by an impassioned fan base, moe. has spent much of those 30 years on the road, encompassing countless live performances marked by eclectic wit, deep friendship, and exploratory invention.


In order to maintain the public safety and security of State property, its occupants and visitors during OGS sponsored special events, as well as to enhance the efficient and orderly operation of the facilities, until further notice, the city has established special ground rules for the Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller Empire State Plaza (ESP), the Capitol, and all surrounding areas, including the Plaza Level of the ESP, West Capitol Park, East Capitol Park, and Lafayette Park.

The following special grounds rules will be in effect during special events at the Empire State Plaza:

  • No tickets necessary
  • No alcoholic beverages (other than those sold on site by authorized vendors)
  • No coolers (defined as rigid insulated containers) or glass containers of any kind
  • No animals or pets (excludes ADA-defined service animals)
  • No personal fireworks or sparklers
  • Audio and/or video recording of any artists’ performances is prohibited
  • State Police or security personnel reserve the right to inspect any bag, container or package and confiscate any prohibited or illegal items
  • Anyone intending to purchase, possess or consume alcohol should be prepared to present proof of age
  • Free parking in the East Parking Garage
