Capital Region Wind Ensemble to Perform “French Impressions” on June 5th

SCHENECTADY – On Friday, June 5th, at 3:00 pm, the Capital Region Wind Ensemble, with Brett Wery, Music Director, presents “French Impressions” in the Taylor Auditorium at SUNY Schenectady School of Music. The Capital Region Wind Ensemble, in residence at SUNY Schenectady, will perform works by Chabrier, Debussy, Gounod, and Giroux. This performance will feature Julie Taylor, clarinet soloist. Tickets are available at the door.

Taylor has been the Director of Bands at Bethlehem Central Middle School in Delmar, N.Y., since 2007. In addition to the CRWE, Taylor performs with Park Playhouse Pit Orchestra, The Schenectady Symphony Orchestra, and numerous local pit orchestras as a woodwind specialist. She hosts Woodwind clinics throughout the Capital District, is a NYSSMA adjudicator, and has been honored to conduct All-County and Area All-State bands across New York State. Taylor also maintains a private clarinet studio which includes students attending NYSSMA All-State Conference and the NYSBDA All-State Honor Bands. She holds her M.M. in Music Education from Ithaca College and B.M. in Music Education and a Performance Certificate in Clarinet from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam.

TICKET INFORMATION:

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students, and $5 for children under 10. SUNY Schenectady students with ID are free. Masks are required.
