Athens Performing Arts Corporation Announces its 2022 Summer Concert Series
ATHENS — The Athens Performing Arts Corporation (APAC) has announced the lineup for its 2022 Summer Concert Series. Eight concerts will be held Friday nights in Athens Riverfront Park, and all are free to the public. The series begins on July 15 and runs through September 2.

While many towns have summer concert series, Athens has long been noted for having particularly strong lineups, and this year is no different. The performers are a mix of national and regional acts, and comprise both original artists and interesting tribute acts. Blues fans in particular have reason to celebrate, as the schedule leans well into that genre. The concerts begin at 7:00pm at Athens Riverfront Park, which is located at 1 Water Street (about 40 minutes from Albany).

Wow, now that’s a concert series! How do they do it? 10 times better than Alive at 5, probably with one tenth the budget.
Awesome lineup! Nice to see the Blues so prominently featured! Great job putting this together Rick!
