The Attic Classic: This band has its roots in the cramped attic of a house in Johnstown, as a four-piece punk-rock band that would become known in the area as The Flying Bobbz.
The group began rehearsing in early 1996. Eventually two left, leaving group founders Sarah Orloff (bass/vocals) and Skip Leo (guitar/vocals) wondering what to do next. Eventually they enlisted Ricky Little to play drums. The Flying Bobbz were born. They hit the clubs and bars, playing to and impressing listeners at every show. The Bobbz released their EP ‘Small Town Chronicles’ in 2002. The lead track “Remember” is the Attic Classic.
From the band’s now defunct web site is a video clip, courtesy of Skyler’s Dream Team, of “False Face” and “Answers” from Gloversville NY club The Upper Deck show on December 26, 2002.
