Bacchanalia Festival Debuts in Troy, September 30th to October 2nd

TROY – Another festival is showing up in Nippertown, and it’s a good one. On September 30th through October 2nd, Troy will be filled with music, art, and good food & drink for the inaugural Bacchanalia Arts & Music Festival (BAMF). The spark for the idea came last year when owners of the Whiskey Pickle, James and Erin Kehoe, were enjoying the increasingly vibrant downtown bar scene and reminiscing of their years spent at SXSW in Austin, Texas. With Troy’s walkability and increasing number of bars and venues, and people looking to get out and explore the city, they decided to create something in the spirit of SXSW. Streets filled with bands and music fans looking to explore something new, food trucks, art showings and more is what Bacchanalia will bring to downtown Troy.

The festival will feature two outdoor main stages, one on Fulton St. in front of the Whiskey Pickle, and one near the new popular live music venue No Fun. In addition, live music will be found in venues within the downtown area including: Rare Form, The Ruck, Slidin’ Dirty, El Dorado, Brown’s and The Bradley. The organizers hope that with a diverse lineup of musical acts, and an interesting selection of curated art and other performances, the festival will attract patrons from not just the Capital Region, but from the surrounding areas and neighboring states as well.

The extremely robust lineup was announced recently, and is outlined in the following poster:
