The Egg Announces Return of Family Wonders Performance Series

ALBANY – The Egg has announced that its Family Wonders performance series will return in 2023 with a mix of dance, music, theatre, puppets and pets.  In an effort to make the shows as affordable as possible for families across the region, adults are admitted free when accompanied by a child (limited to one adult per child).

The schedule is as follows:

Sleeping Beauty – New York Theatre Ballet
Saturday, February 11th, 11:00 am, $22

Set in a magical fairy kingdom beneath the roots of a great tree, this beloved classic performed by New York Theatre Ballet is filled with magic and poetry, and tells the tale of Princess Aurora from her fateful birth to her triumphant wedding.

Comedy Pet Theatre – Gregory Popovich
Sunday, February 12th, 3:00 pm, $22

Comedy Pet Theatre is a unique blend of comedy and juggling skills of Ukranian circus performer Gregory Popovich and the extraordinary talents of over 30 performing pets including cats and dogs (all rescued from animal shelters!), geese, white doves and parrots.

Laurie Berkner – Greatest Hits – Live!
Sunday, March 26th, 3:00 pm, $24

Laurie Berkner is often referred to as the “Queen of Kids Music” and has released 14 bestselling, award-winning albums.  Laurie will perform many fan favorites that encourage kids and grownups alike to get up, sing along and move, including “Victor Vito,” “We Are The Dinosaurs,” “Pig On Her Head,” “Waiting for the Elevator,” and “Chipmunk at the Gas Pump.”

Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia – It’s Okay To Be Different

Equally whimsical and heartfelt, The Earth Book, is a sweet homage to our beautiful planet inspiring readers of all ages to do their part to keep the Earth happy and healthy. This is My Hair is a funny exploration of how silly hair can be and that no matter how your hair looks, always feel good about yourself.
