Jim Morrison “Absolutely Live” to Celebrate His 79th Birthday, Dec. 8, at Cohoes Music Hall

COHOES – On Dec. 8, celebrate the 79th birthday of the Lizard King himself with an immersive concert recreating the experience of the legendary frontman of the Doors. The event, at Cohoes Music Hall, will reproduce the sights, sounds, and persona of Jim Morrison right before your eyes, in a live concert adaptation of one of classic rock’s most influential lead singers.

In Absolutely Live,”  you’ll hear all the hit songs that enshrined Jim Morrison and the Doors into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and pushed them through the doors of Classic Rock immortality. In addition, you’ll also get a two more special tributes to legendary ’60s artists: Mick Jagger, bad boy of the British Invasion and iconic frontman of the Rolling Stones, and Grace Slick of Jefferson Airplane, the Queen of Psychedelic Rock.

The talent behind these recreations is impressive, and have entertained audiences in Atlantic City and elsewhere. Gary Weinlein stars as Jim Morrison, with special guests Tommy Love as Mick Jagger and Molly O’Hara as Grace Slick. The Absolutely Live Musicians are comprised of Lou Chitty (keyboards), Jake Konisky (guitar), Tony Garza (bass), Adam Winnie (drums), and Molly O’Hara (Sax).
