Get ready to Rock out with SLOC’s “The Wedding Singer” March 17-26th
The 80s were a time of high hair, trendy shoulder pads, and famous wedding singers. This is how Robbie Hart felt until he was left at the altar by his supposed true love. The Wedding Singer, a 1998 film starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, is now a musical at Schenectady Light Opera Company. Director Stephen Foust hopes audiences will learn from this show and be better people than they were the day before.
The cast includes Brendan Brierley as Robbie Hart, Allison McArdle as Julia Sullivan, Brandon Argento as Sammy, Michaela Torres as Holly, Francesco Archina as George, Bill Geltzeiler as Glen Guglia, Emily Fuller as Linda, and Erica Buda Doran as Rosie. All these actors come together with the help of Music Director John Carroll, Choreographer Betsy Foust, Producer John Meglino, and Stage Manager James Brown.
The Wedding Singer will be performed on March 17, 18, 23, 24, and 25 at 8 pm and on March 19 and 26 at 2 pm. Tickets range from $25 to $32. For tickets and information, call 518-730-7370 or visit tickets.sloctheater.org. For more info and photos, contact Audrey Carlton at [email protected].
