Emerging Singer Songwriter, Lizzie No, to Perform at Caffe Lena, March 18th

SARATOGA SPRINGS – On March 18th, Lizzie No will be performing at the revered Caffe Lena. The guitarist, harpist, and singer-songwriter made quite the impression with her debut release, Hard Won, in 2017 and has only continued to grow since. The captivating and emerging artist is sure to deliver a night of fantastic music! The show is part of Lena’s Bright Series.

Lizzie No is unsparing in the stories she tells – epic tales featuring narrative shifts within vividly crafted characters and forthright self-reflection. Her songwriting prowess and inventive arrangements elevate her performance to shimmering heights, alternating between swaggering grooves and intimate clarity.

Lizzie is a magnetic performer and a rising star in the folk world – and when you hear her, you’ll understand why. She’s got a way of writing songs that are tender, incisive, gentle and intense, all at the same time. She’s one of those artists who makes it feel like they’re singing directly to you.

Billboard magazine calls her music “simultaneously understated and fervent.” Whether she’s singing about social justice in “Sundown,” a song that addresses the journeys Black families take from small towns to cities, looking for safety and a sense of belonging,” or reflecting on “all the times I’ve felt uncomfortable in group settings,” to having a panic attack on New Year’s Eve, to a breakup, No sings with the honesty of poetry and the observations of having lived each and every line of every song.
