The Attic Classic: Saratoga Springs native Gary Brooks could check off quite a list of titles on his music career resume held over 50-plus years, with a list of bands he had been involved in would likely tally just as long. Throughout an extensive career, he had performed thousands of classic rock, soul and blues songs on piano and organ, delivered with a voice that was described as “whiskey ‘n’ cigarettes” soaked.
It wasn’t until 2000 when Gary was able to showcase his own songs, ranging from classic rock to soulful R&B, on his debut CD ‘Lost in the Shuffle.’ “Missin’ You Blues” from the album is the Local 518 Attic Classic.
