Great Lake Swimmers float into The Linda, November 13th

ALBANY – Critically acclaimed, Canadian folk-rock ensemble Great Lake Swimmers is floating on in to the Capital Region! Known for drawing on genres of folk and rock, the band has often been compared to artists such as Nick Drake and the legendary Neil Young. On their most recent album, Uncertain Country, the band highlights the feeling of uncertainty that we are challenged with every day in modern times.

The band has had various members come and go, but every single member who has been a part of Great Lake Swimmers has left a mark on the band sonically. The main constant however, is talented frontman Tony Dekker, who offers mesmerizing lead vocals and excellent playing of the acoustic guitar and harmonica. In addition, the band’s current lineup consists of Erik Arnesen, a professional on the banjo, electric guitar, and harmonium, Ryan Granville-Martin on drums and background vocals, Bret Higgins on his upright bass, and Kelsey McNulty providing keyboard melodies and additional backing vocals to bring everything together.

As a unit, Great Lake Swimmers have already left their mark on the music scene, with their rich blend of folk-rock that continues to captivate and inspire. Their openness to adventure and experimentation consistently wins over fans, and music lovers here in the Capital Region are in for quite a treat on November 13th.
