SIRSY is a rock, pop, and soul duo with just the right amount of sass! The Boston Globe calls them “the little band with the big sound”. Charismatic lead singer, Melanie, is also the band’s drummer. Melanie even plays bass on a keyboard with her drum stick and throws in some mean flute solos, too. Rich plays a road worn and well loved Rickenbacker guitar through a pedal board full of vintage effects. He also pays bass with his feet and tells super nerdy Star Wars jokes. SIRSY is known for passionate performances that often include lots of stories from the road, laughs, and dance parties. It’s a good time! SIRSY plays 250+ shows per year nationally & has played with Grace Potter, Maroon 5, Cheap Trick, Train, and many more. Their music is featured on Showtime’s hit TV show “Shameless”.
> “SIRSY is powerful and strong…Inventive, irresistible, and fun. Melanie Krahmer beats the drums + sings while Rich Libutti lets fly with big star guitar hooks as sleek as Krahmer’s getaway sticks… AND Her voice – christ, that voice – is strictly stratospheric… SIRSY is your favorite band, you just don’t know it yet.” -City Newspaper
> “SIRSY is NOT simply a two piece, they are a head scratching, WOW!..This is the complete package in a fun sized, rock and roll, smiling laughing, have a good time with your friends, band! The guitar player is flawless and raw- clean enough to be enjoyed but edgy enough to make your grin. The lead singer/drummer is stunning.” – SXSW Music Blog
> “Melanie Krahmer has one of the most powerful and flexible voices you will ever hear. And their clever, smart songs have more hooks than a tackle box.” -Times Union, NY
> “Highly talented, “edgy-feel-good”, and fun to watch… you gotta go see them.” – Houston Music Scene Blog
