Sunday Songwriter Series ft. Josh Morris
Josh Morris is your favorite solo artist you’ve never heard of. His musical career began at age 14 with a band he founded called Vontus. Since then, he has found a home in the dense music scene of New York’s Capital Region. Usually, you can find him behind the drum kit and singing lead vocals for his band, Hasty Page; but it doesn’t stop there. At other times, you can find him completing the rhythm section for Albany favorites Dark Honey and Girl Blue. With all of this in his back pocket, he strives to expand his singer/songwriter abilities into something much more vast and interpretive. His solo material has been compared to the likes of Jeff Buckley, Robert Johnson, and early Pearl Jam. In December 2019, he wrote, recorded, mixed, and mastered his first solo album for his Senior Capstone Project at the College of Saint Rose. In May 2020, he will be graduating with a B.S. in Music Industry. Everything that follows will be as they say, history.
